OCÉANIE OPENS IN PARIS

After its blockbuster success at the Royal Academy in London, Oceania moves to Paris for a spring 2019 opening within the very different setting of Jean Nouvel’s Musée du Quai Branly, requiring Real Studios to devise a completely different strategy to realise the design.

Taking full advantage of the large, fluid contemporary spaces we evoke the uninterrupted horizons of sea and sky of Oceania, against which the remarkable, sculptural objects are silhouetted. Where necessary to support the narrative, we have inserted intimate, enclosed spaces to focus on specific themes and house the show’s powerful AV elements and signature artworks.
