NATIONAL MARITIME MUSEUM UPGRADES GROUP FACILITIES
With the 2011 opening of the Sammy Ofer wing and its park-facing entrance, the National Maritime Museum took the opportunity to upgrade and enhance its old Stanhope entrance as a dedicated group entrance. Real Studios completely remodelled the entrance spaces either side to provide bigger and better toilet facilities, with cubicle doors animated by lively illustrations from quirky Russian illustrator, Alexander at Milk Creative. A coat and bag drop space and packed lunch space is provided that seats up to 90 at lunchtimes. Banquette seats upholstered in metallic shades, and tables and benches in shades of green and blue, lift the scheme far above the usual utilitarian museum facilities, while a dedicated briefing room helps to prepare groups for the day's Maritime Museum activities.
