For Kenya's most stunning and stylish safari camp, Mahali Mzuri from Virgin Limited Edition, we designed interiors to celebrate the vivid colours and exuberance of local prints and crafts, while offering every luxury for its conservation-minded guests. 

Set in the Motorogi Conservancy, 12 architect-designed tents, perched on decked platforms and clad in terracotta canvas, blend into the surrounding wilderness. We filled each tent with fine furnishings and fittings, hand-crafted to design lead Yvonne Gold's specifications. With fabrics from Tanzania and Kenya, bamboo light fittings, basket-woven lamps and wooden furniture, the dwellings, dining tent, bar and pool, our design provides maximum enjoyment of this exclusive location, while minimizing environmental impact. A complete contrast to the typical colonial styling of many other camps, Mahali Mzuri's design and concept creates an authentic sense of place, celebrating its heritage along with the spectacular setting.
